ROBOT INVASION is the Klaxon Mutant Allstars’ debut album. This recording is a product of the current generation of eclectic-minded jazz musicians living in the Bay Area’s technology-obsessed, genre-twisting, multi-cultural mix. With inspiration drawn from everything from 1980s hip hop, to underdog baseball heroes, to the writings of David Sedaris, to California politics, plus one cover of the band Deerhoof, the Klaxons have created an album that, like their Bay Area home, is multi-pronged in its influences, vital in its relevance, and boldly points to the future
